Why I'm Running for Councillor – Ward 4, Trent Hills

I believe in building a stronger, more connected Trent Hills where every resident feels heard, valued, and represented. Through my years of community service, I have worked to bring people together, support local organizations, secure funding, and create opportunities that strengthen our communities. I want to bring that same collaborative, transparent, and solutions-focused approach to Council. My commitment is to listen, advocate, and work hard to ensure Ward 4 remains a welcoming, vibrant, and sustainable place for current and future generations.

Acknowledging the Land

My campaign for Trent Hills Ward 4 takes place on the traditional territories of the Michi Saagiig Anishinaabeg, including the lands and waters connected to Alderville First Nation and the Williams Treaties.
I acknowledge with respect the Indigenous Peoples who have cared for these lands and waters for generations, and I recognize their enduring presence, knowledge, culture, and contributions to our community.
As a candidate for municipal office, I believe acknowledgement must be accompanied by listening, learning, respect, and meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities as we work together toward a shared future.

What I Believe

I believe that strong communities are built through respect, collaboration, and open communication. I believe every resident deserves to be heard, local businesses and organizations deserve to be supported, and Council should be transparent, accountable, and focused on practical solutions. Together, we can preserve what makes Trent Hills special while creating opportunities for future generations to live, work, and thrive.
A Grassroot Campaign

Being a grassroots campaign also means taking social and environmental responsibility seriously. I want my campaign practices to reflect the values I hope to bring to Council. I will not be printing traditional Coroplast campaign signs or using other non-recyclable campaign materials. Instead, as one small way of giving something back to our environment, I will be distributing pollinator seed packets and encouraging residents to plant them.

My goal is simple:
With your help, we will leave behind more flowers than campaign waste.
